Joy Long
Paralegal
As a paralegal with Silver & Wright LLP, Joy Long draws upon her experience in civil and corporate law to provide support with case management, research, and document preparation. She assists attorneys in municipal law in civil courts with code enforcement, nuisance abatement, cost recovery, receiverships, and multiple other aspects of civil litigation.
As a legal assistant in a previous position, Joy provided general counsel with research for approval of precious metal investments by trusts, partnerships, corporations, and limited liability corporations. Additionally, she functioned as a liaison to all departments, drafting correspondence for resolution of matters while communicating CFTC, SEC, and IRS regulations for compliance to a 75-person telephonic sales force.
As a volunteer, Joy helps adults who want to improve their reading, math, and career readiness skills.
Joy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from California State University, Long Beach, and her Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Irvine.
