Valerie Santoscoy started her legal career in the early 90s. She worked for in-house counsel for USAA Insurance Company and The Hartford. After working in insurance defense litigation, she began working for the medical malpractice and civil litigation defense firm, Rinos & Packer. There, she was on a trial team and supported three attorneys with trial preparation. It was during this time that she fell in love with the trial process and had the privilege of working under decorated partners and trial attorneys. Her skills and knowledge of the legal process grew and so did her curiosity to learn more from these trial professionals. Under their supervision, she started working on extensive trial preparation, legal research, drafting discovery, and many court forms in state, federal, appellate, and even a supreme court case.
In 2010, she began an online paralegal studies program through Cal Poly Pomona and completed 36-course hours. After many years of working alongside some of the best trial lawyers, she accepted the position of legal administrator with Rinos & Martin. She has extensive experience with the legal administration process and employment laws.
Valerie is certified in QuickBooks and is an active member of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). In her spare time, Valerie enjoys photography, traveling, cooking, volunteering at the Path of Life Ministries Homeless Shelter in Riverside which provides dinner ministry each month, and most of all, spending time with her husband and their four grown children and three grandchildren.
